Springvale Library, Springvale, ME A two story 12,000 sf addition to the existing historic library structure includes extensive renovation of the existing building. The existing library was relocated on a new foundation, integral to both new and existing structure. The existing structure was renovated and strengthened to meet current codes. New construction utilizes exposed timber and steel construction to surround and accent the existing building. |

Rangely Public Library Addition, Rangely, ME A 4,000 SF two-story addition to this historic circa 1925 field stone building. New addition is framed in steel and wood to provide new stack areas, reading rooms, children's rooms and administration offices. The existing structure was "touched lightly" with a two level connector to provide ADA access to all levels of the existing facility. |

University of Maine Blake Library Expansion, Fort Kent, ME A two story 7,500 SF addition between two existing buildings to house the Acadian Archive Collection. A steel framed structure supports high density files with floor loads exceeding 250 psf. Building design integrates office, library and archive needs with connection to existing library, while planning for future expansion into adjacent building. |

New Gloucester Public Library, New Gloucester, ME A 4,100 SF, two-story wood framed addition to the existing circa 1920 building. Project added new foundations, basement with stack area and upper level reading rooms with circulation desk. Project was wood framed with pre-fabricated wood roof trusses to meet budget and facilitate construction by local contractors. |

Greene Public Library, Greene, ME Preliminary design of two-story, 4,500 SF addition to the existing structure. Two-level connector provides elevator and stair access to new children's area, reading area and stacks. Exterior stair provides access to both levels from exterior plaza. Project awaiting funding. |

Wilmington College Library, Wilmington, DE A 65,000 sf three story mixed-use library/office/classroom building utilizing shallow spread footings to support a steel framed superstructure with composite floor beams and girders with a concrete on steel deck floor system. Open web steel joists and type B deck frame a flat roof with cold formed steel stud mansard stick framing around perimeter. Moment frames to resist lateral loads. Mr. Becker served as the project engineer for this project while working with another firm. |
