Skidompha Library, Damariscotta, ME
A 12,000
SF two-story structure over a partial basement with and an attached 3,000
SF single story wing joining the existing historic library structure.
Design uses a shallow steel framed structure with elevated cast-in place
concrete slabs over composite steel deck. Roof structure is exposed steel
frame with insulated stress skin panels exposing a wood board finish.
A central atrium further highlights exposed steel and wood. Design includes
upgrades to existing wood framed building to meet new loading requirements.
